Change Management and Cultural Transformation

Arthur Kyron has led reviews, restructures and organisational cultural change in local governments in Western Australia and New South Wales. The organisations have been at tier 1 and 2 sized councils, with staff numbers ranging from 300 to over 1000 and budgets of around $60m to $160m.

Utilising contemporary practices, the approach has involved engaging with staff and governing bodies and other stakeholders in reviewing organisational performance, analysing, developing new structures and strategic plans and executing plans for transition to a new way of thinking and working.

The approaches taken have focused on the leadership team and staff being constructively involved in the steps of organisational review and ideas generation.

Structural change is only the beginning of the organisational performance improvement process. Cultural change is what makes the difference between a differently looking organisation and a high performing organisation.

At ENOSIS we work with leadership teams and front line staff at all levels in an organisation to enable cultural transformation. Through the joined up approach of understanding our personal styles (LSI 1 and 2 and Group Style Inventory) and organisational cultural assessment (Organisational Cultural Inventory/Organisational Effectiveness Inventory) we can work across the organisation in creating a movement for cultural change. The analytical methods utilised will identify the variables that most impact an organisation’s culture.

The development of personal coaching plans for people leaders and cultural optimisation groups (COGs), made up of a cross section of staff from the organisation, to work on cultural levers to positively transform the culture, have proven to be an effective way to positively influence cultural change.
